Meeting Notes 2-12-2020

 | Published on 2/12/2020
Happy Valentines Day!

Sorry I am a little tardy in getting out the notes from this week, plus I forgot to take notes so I am going by memory.
Usually the agenda helps me remember but Joel forgot how to send emails this week.

Feb 21st we are helping serve at Teen Night so if you are able to help please let Joel know. We are there to help serve their meal and it is also a great time to learn more about one of the great non-profits we support.

Ivan was out sick and Yoyo gave his update about his week. He attended a play at WAHS and sorry I don't remember what else happened.

Harriet gave us a quick update on the Wine and Chocolate and even though revenue was down a little expenses appear to be down so we definitely look good.

We will be doing another fundraiser teamed up with the Rotary Club of Indian Rocks Beech Florida. We will be selling tickets for a trip to the Super Bowl in 2021 being help in Tampa. We sell the tickets for $5 each and we keep half of the money. There are also some cash prizes so there are 4 winners. Should be fun and hopefully we sell the winning ticket. More details to come very soon.

Guest Speaker
Linda Kemp from the Noon Club is also the District Chair for Membership. She came to share ideas with us on membership with some great ideas. On top of Lewis duties coming up as President Elect Nominee he has also joined the District Membership Committee. One are of our focus is communication and Ryan has agreed to start running our Twitter and Instagram pages. The trend in Rotary world wide has been a slight decline in membership but as a club we have done well to grow the last couple of years.

Communications
Through our web site we are able to send out text reminders and Joel sent out an email about how to set that up under your profile. Please do make sure you check to receive text messages. These messages will only come from our club, not the district or RI.

50/50
Yoyo had the winning ticket this week but he pulled the 6 of hearts so the pot continues to grow over $400.

Next weeks speaker will be Joe King from Physical Therapy Advantage and he will tell us how to get rid of our aches and pains.

Thanks and have a great weekend!
