September Meeting Notes

Fell a little behind on the updates so here is the month of September all at once.

Welcome to the world Layla Rainn, our Club Presdient Linda Callaghan's Granddaughter!

Welcome to Ryan Ivemeyer our newest member
Joe Kosner will be going over club orientation with Ryan and Dr. Dave Dominguez Wednesday Sept 26

Our In-bound from Belgium Noah gave his presentation

As you can see he gets the question "Are you from France?" often
It was great to learn about his country and his family and friends. Noah is a very passionate person about his country and we definitely love his outgoing personality.

Noah will be attending his first Homecoming this weekend at West Aurora High School.
His host mom Lorraine continues to challenge his taste buds with some amazing home cooked Mexican dishes.

Kim Erickson from Naomi's House was our guest speaker on the 26th. Naomi's House is a safe house for women who are victims of human trafficking. Check out their website www.NaomisHouse.org.
In the Chicago area alone there are 24,000 victims of human trafficking per year. Such a sad number and Naomi's House is doing what they can to help women leave that life, find self worth through the hope that God offers.

50/50
Tom Clark found the King of Clubs and won the pot, of which he generously donated to the Victoria Fund. Thank you Tom!

Victoria was a recent in-bound from Venezuela and she has returned to pursue her college education. Now that she is graduating she is looking for employment to obtain her work visa.We never forget those who have gone out-bound or those we have been able to host for a year as an in-bound. Help Victoria find a position in her field which is Health Science and Biology with minor Chemistry and Physiology.
