Youth Exchange – We have 13 candidates form West and East Aurora High Schools going to district interviews this weekend.
Lorenz and Laura went to West High’s homecoming dance last weekend. They both agreed that the music and dancing was different than they are used to but they still had a great time.
They also went downtown Chicago and weather prevented their Rotary sailing trip but they were able to have fun with other District 6450 exchange students.

Laura continues to help her host brother with the popcorn sales for Boy Scouts. She is becoming quite the sales person.
Lorenz also spent time with his host family in Chicago.

Wine & Chocolate 2015
The date of January 25th 2015 has been reserved at Aurora Country Club and the planning is under way. Now is the time to start getting those auction items and talk to potential sponsors.
Public Relations
Our web site continues to have more and more hits with over 1100 hits 2 weeks ago. Megan Hicks video on Facebook had a reach of over 1200 and this is something that we will do more of.
Joe will be contacting the Salvation Army to reserve our date for bell ringing over at Jewel on Galena.
Club Administration
We held elections and it was a close call. Chris Olson went unopposed for President Elect and Jack Sharratt went unopposed for Sargent at Arms. They will begin their posts as soon as possible.
Guest Speaker – Triple Threat
Triple Threat Mentoring uses people’s passions to fight the cycle of poverty. Since 2007, they have used passion-based programs and events to connect nearly 20,000 at-risk youth with adults who love the same things they do. They help you Share Your Passion and Create Your Legacy.
Triple Threat’s Mission is:
To empower urban youth to realize their potential and inspire volunteers to leave a lasting legacy. We’re not just a youth organization. We’re an organization that facilitates relationships between youth and volunteers through our passion-based programs.
They are located in downtown Aurora across from the new library and if you would like to volunteer you may contact them at their web site http://triplethreat.org/volunteer/
